0In college, Callie’s roomate, Jordan, decided to put her up for auction (purely as a joke). Somewhere in the auctioning-Callie-off process, Matt became curious. His curiosity led to interest which led to a relationship via phone, Facebook, and Skype for 3 months. Finally, Callie + Matt met face to face when he picked her up from the airport for Jordan’s wedding. The rest, as they say, is [recent] history.
One thing they know is that opposites do indeed attract. Matt is structured and Callie is random. Matt is military, Callie wears peace signs and headbands. As Callie puts it, she is the “scribbles to his straight lines.”
I overheard family members at their rehearsal dinner saying that for Callie to be with Matt, and for Matt to be with Callie, it must be God. Believe me, when you see them together, you know it’s true.
One thing they have in common is their love for Jesus, and as Matt said when he proposed to Callie, “I want God to be the center of our marriage.”
Amen and amen.
PS. This is only the first half of their engagement sesh–I am in love with just WAY too many of their images 🙂

Oh, and I just LOVED their Save the Date site design, so here are just a couple screenshots from that:

Stay tuned for more photos, particularly from Callie + Matt’s vintage wedding featuring pinwheels, mustaches, and pirate telescopes!
BTW, I don’t think this van is an actual V-Dub, but close enough [the beetles def are] 🙂
