When Karen + Jerry first started dating, he told her how much he liked burnt orange, especially on cars (Jerry is all about some cars.) She remembers telling him that she hated it. But over time, as they dated, he would point out deep orange cars to her and through his love for the color, it became one of her favorite colors! In fact, she even told him, “If we ever get married, that will be one of our colors!” It seems trivial, changing from disliking a color to incorporating it into your wedding, but it shows so much more. As Karen + Jerry have melded into one another’s lives, they have learned to fit together the pieces, even the ones they didn’t think would ever place just perfectly. Jerry’s son, Chase, loves his step-mommy and even instructed Jerry to propose to her–not even kidding!

Karen practiced a song she was going to sing for Jerry beforehand, and I was blown away.

So, I love, LOVE the “bridal room” in The Cottage at Jasmine Hill. Tons of natural light, rustic decor, and vintage details. Love.

Peaking in on Karen and Daddy while I was staging the above shot. I love this kid.

One of my favorite bridal party pictures ever.

So, I just have to give a shout out to my wonderful mother-in-law, Carole, of For Keeps Floral Artistry. I love her designs. I mean, check it out. (Remember my own wedding florals, yep, all her).

Brock captured the following five shots. Oh yes, my husband rocks.

Karen teared up waiting for her turn to walk down the aisle. She lost her father several years back, and she desperately wanted him by her side.

I loved the three cords braided into one. The scripture reference, as well as the braiding together of their little family was so beautiful.

I find that First Dances between couples who have children always end with the three of them dancing (believe me, I know). So sweet!

Check this out–Chase’s cake actually lit up! I mean, it was WAY cool.

I love this little family, and Karen’s love for photography makes me love her so much more–she incorporated photos from she + Jerry’s engagements sessions into several details, and it was just SO cool to see my photography used in creative ways 🙂

Karen sang for Jerry at the reception as a surprise, and oh my goodness, I cried like a little baby–and her voice is GOR-GEOUS!
