So, I know how imortant blogging is, but I find that it is infinitely more important for me to focus on my clients and our relationship, my family, and my photography skills. Therein lies my excuse for the lack of blogging here lately–well, who am I kidding–the lack of blogging, well, forever. 🙂
So, that is what this post is all about. I will be catching you up on what I have been up to this year so far. Let’s call this post “Playing Catch Up or 2011: So Far So Good.” Yes, I like long, official titles.
Here we go, in chronological order, a sneak peek from each and every shoot I have been blessed with this year:
Macey + Chad, a Pike Road Engagement Shoot. Actually, this is a follow-up to their Atlanta Engagement shoot. And Macey is my sister. So, there’s how I started off my year!
I started experimenting with lights while visiting my best friend in New Orleans. We came up with some rad stuff.
I was in New Orleans for a Senior Fashion shoot with Brandy in and about Jackson Square, between the French Quarter and the river.
Tempy + Austin. She is from Honduras; he is military. Long distance, but so in love. I was blessed to be able to capture their limited time together in the states. Eeee, I love these two!
Instead of a boudoir shoot, Karen opted to showcase her Pakistani heritage in a Pakistani styled shoot, both for Jerry, who loved his now-wife’s multi-cultural background, and as a tribute to her father, who she lost several years ago.
Sallie + Kyle are A-DORABLE. I am so glad that I got to capture their engagement session, since I am booked for their wedding date 🙁 However, they live in Atlanta now, which is AWESOME!
Leigh + Jay, Downtown Birmingham Engagement. Leigh and I were BFF’s in our high school youth group, and, ironically, she is Brock’s “baby cousin.” Again, cute as pie. Chocolate pie, because it’s my favorite.
Karen + Jerry’s Montgomery Engagement Session. I love them.
Kristen’s Downtown Montgomery Rock the Dress Session. Kristen’s momma came along for the shoot, and let me tell ya, I just love those two ladies. Seriously.
Lauren + Jody’s Post Rain Engagement Shoot. They were so brave, sitting on the ground and petting cows and standing in lake-like puddles.
The day of Karen’s Rock the Dress shoot was SOOO cold! I was all bundled up and totally miserable, but she managed to look completely gorgeous!
Josh is an actor. He’s good at it. Hire him if you need an actor 🙂
Nicole + Mike’s Auburn Engagement. We went to a park/mountain/waterfall area that was SOOO cool. Lots of huffing and puffing (cardio isn’t my thing), but totally worth the little hike! Nicole + Mike, by the way, are in much better shape.
Whitney + Lance’s Lovely Private Estate Lake Wedding. Whitney is the beautiful and talented hair artist behind Pirate Hair Art and styled my hair for my own wedding. I just adore her eclectic style (and purple streak that is normally present in her hair)!
Christina + Josh’s Auburn Engagement. Ummm, yes, I love Christina (and Josh, too). Christina is a girl after my own heart, for reals. We had a blast!
Parts II & III still to come!0
