Holy moly, April was slammed for me! And yet, I am completely happy with my job. AHHHH, I just love what I do!!! (Btw, you can check out January-March of this year here) I started out with Kristen + Kyle’s Jasmine Hill Garden wedding on the 2nd. I have several from their wedding on the […]0
I started out with Kristen + Kyle’s Jasmine Hill Garden wedding on the 2nd. I have several from their wedding on the blog and on facebook already, so check those out. For this post, I chose a capture from their First Look–so darn cute, the two of them, for reals!
I have been aching to flex my creative muscles (on a sidenote, I just started with a personal trainer, so the real anatomical muscles are literally aching, but I digress), so I put together a styled shoot featuring some of my FAVE vendors. It’s a bit darker and moodier than most of my work (something I have been wanting to play with). The theme started with Black Swan but ended up morphing somewhere along the way into a Black Swan/Masquerade/Black and White Ball/Ballet sort of theme. Whatever. I love it.
That same day, I shot Sammye’s Rock the Dress session. Seriously, this girl’s smile is C-O-N-T-A-G-I-O-U-S!
What did I tell you? You’re smiling now, aren’t you? After her Rock the Dress sesh, Brandon showed up (worth stating is that he supplied me with a super-yummy energy bar, so brownie points…errrrr, protein points, to him), and we went on an engagement adventure shoot. By adventure, I mean hiking through a field and some weeds. Again, whatev.
Brooke + Phillip’s Morning Downtown Montgomery session. Not featured here is their canine child, Lennon, who we had SOOO much fun with! These two braved the early morning heat (we live in the South, y’all) and totally trusted me. Ah, love them!
Tracey + Dan’s Alexandria, Virginia Wedding. Ummm, I want pocket-sized versions of both of them to carry around with me. Important to note: they joined in with Brock + I singing the Firefly theme accapella. Yes, they are that cool.
Shot at the Hotel Monaco:
Caroline + Craegh are sisters. This was my second shoot with them. Not only are they beautiful, but they are hella funny. I love them.
Callie + Matt’s Lake Martin Wedding. Paper flowers, handmade pinwheels, succulents, and lighthouse pirates. OMG. (Their engagement session was also BALLIN’ and, wonder of wonders, I actually blogged it!)
Amanda + AJ’s Lake Engagement. A summer afternoon with a super-sweet couple cuddling in a hammock? Yes, please.
Last up, I was hired by a Montgomery magazine to capture some images in and around Tipping Point at Hampstead. Thanks to this shoot, Tipping Point is now our favorite place to hang out and catch up with friends.
Voila! That is it for April. Next post: May and June!0
