Jessica and Rocky were meant to be. In their case, more literally than most.

Life happened (10+ years of it) and kind of delayed the process (or some might argue, brought them together), but in the end, this is where they are–where they should be: with one another.

In high school, they took martial arts together. They became quick friends because they were both so goofy (a fact that I can attest to personally) and perfectly comfortable in each other’s presence. They “went their separate ways” after high school. A painting degree called to Jessica, and while she was doing that, he proceeded to design some self-distributed video games. (Seriously–how cool are they–a painter and a video game designer?!) Jessica moved to New York, and Rocky started a family. So much happened in the following years, then, one day, Rocky decided to catch up with some old friends, and Jessica happened to be one of them. Different people now, in a different chapter in their lives, they started talking and simply never stopped.

Jess + Rocky live in Tampa now, to be near Rocky’s kiddos (whom I cannot WAIT to meet), so this session was the first time I got to meet both of them. And, seriously–they are such a cool couple, I just found myself thinking, “Please think I’m cool, too–I promise I’m cool like you!” 🙂

Enjoy their uber-coolness:
