0The first time Evelyn met Matt, he was breaking into her car. Seriously he was. Okay, okay, she had requested his help because she had accidentally locked the keys in her own car.
In those first few moments, she was drawn in by not only how nice and helpful he was, but also how he made her laugh. Over the next 5 years, they kept in touch, never seeing one another more than once or twice a year, but always feeling a connection. Matt told her, only half-jokingly, several times that they would end up together. The last time Matt visited Evelyn, it was obvious to both of them that neither wanted to be apart from one another any longer. Their friendship had grown into love, and Matt had been right all along–they were destined to be with one another.
I met Evelyn in a dance class at the YMCA when we both lived in Montgomey. Every Wednesday evening we would find our places next to each other and dance our hearts out, goofing off and chatting about our lives. Then, after class, we would both grudgingly take a second class–Body Pump. We chatted more about our lives inbetween classes and even inbetween songs, whining to each other about the pain 🙂
Evelyn is so easy to get along with, so happy–smiling all the time. And Matt brings that smile out in her even more, and I am so happy for the both of them!
