Micah + Isaac’s wedding was unique. Not because of the decor, flowers, or food. It was unique because they chose to celebrate their marriage with a very small group of close friends and family, minimal decor, and lots of photography. Brock and I were both honored, humbled, and, admittedly, totally psyched that they asked us to be there with them amongst such an intimate group.
Meet Wyatt. He is Micah’s nephew and ABSOLUTELY ADORBS!
Meet Jacob. Jacob is Wyatt’s toy truck and apparent best friend 🙂
Isaac played guitar for Wyatt’s entrance as well as Micah with her dad. I don’t even know how he was able to concentrate on playing once he saw her.
Brock was able to grab a couple of shots just seconds before the french doors opened for Micah to step out into the aisle:
Can’t you just feel her excitement?!
Let me just give a shout-out to me. I made that veil. Yay me 🙂
One thing that Micah + Isaac incorporated into their actual ceremony were words of thanks and love for each of the people present.
Chelsea and Ashley, long-time friends of Micah’s, couldn’t help but tear up. Which, in turn, made me tear up. Darnit.
Seriously, look at the way he looks at her:
They also had all of their family members come down and surround them with prayer and commit to encourage them both in their new marriage. Love the looks on brother and sister’s faces:
Moments after being announced husband and wife:
Brock’s take on the same few seconds of time:
I looooved Micah’s bouquet–just loved. She, her mom, and Isaac had been collecting broaches specifically for it for a couple of months and her mom put it together!
I was so lucky to be witness to Micah’s mom hugging Isaac up and telling him how glad she was that her daughter has him in her life! Again, more tears for me.
I think Micah looks SOOO much like Katherine Heigl in this shot. Oh, Micah. You are so darn pretty.
Bright, bold colors? Yes–a girl after my own heart!
Oh my goodness, I love their laughter in this one. Especially Isaac.
Let me tell you a little story about this photograph. We are walking along and Isaac points to the orange newpaper stand/dispenser/whatever-you-call-it and says, “I want to take a picture with this.” And I’m all thinking, “Well, okay, I can work with that.” Then he proceeded to explain that the first photograph that he ever saw of Micah was her next to a brightly colored newspaper stand thingy. And he rememembered. SWEETEST THING EVER.
Well, hello supermodel.
The thing I love about Micah is interactions like this:
Me: “Oh my goodness. Look at those shadows. Will you–” Micah: “YEP!”
I adore this series of photographs of Isaac helping Micah into the car to head to their honeymoon escape in North Georgia. No fanfare. Just the two of them so excited to be husband and wife, driving off into the (literal) sunset.
Thank you, Micah, for trusting me and for being as obsessed with color, art, and photography as I am.
Thank you, Isaac, for supporting my beautiful friend and being just what God created you to be.
