Remember Merissa + Miles from their Cator Woolford and Little Five Points engagement? I love that they are both artists and were definitely looking for that aspect of art in their wedding photos–I also love just how expressive they are with their love for one another. As it turns out, all of their friends and family are equally as postively expressive 🙂

Brock shot the guys getting ready downstairs while I shot Merissa upstairs at Callanwolde.

Miles is such a hoot–always so fun with some crazy face going on.

Reading the note Merissa sent down for him…

When I got home and downloaded this photo, I just had to say “GO BROCK!” I love that he captured the essence of location and the emotion of the getting ready process in one shot.

All the guys passing around the rings.

3 unique floral arrangements from Perfect Petals Design Group: the bridesmaids’ on the left, the bride’s in the center, and the maid of honor’s on the right.

LOVE Merissa’s custom alteration to her teal heels–peacock feathers! While peacock feathers weren’t necessarily a part of the “theme,” it was a great detail to accompany the gorgeous teals, greens, and blues present throughout!

Merissa and her dad are particularly close, and I love that they did a little Father-Daughter First Look together 🙂 This is just as he rounded the corner and saw his little girl all dressed up in her wedding gown…

While, yes, I do take formal family portraits (how often do you have all of your family together?), REAL family portraits are where my heart is–like these genuine smiles and hugs 🙂 Just LOVE.

Okay, on to their outdoor spring ceremony–and seriously, how gorgeous (and unique) are these glass orbs filled with florals?!

One of my personal favorite periods of time during a wedding day (although I do have quite a few favorites ;D) is the excitement of those few minutes before the ceremony begins–it’s nearly tangible in the air–excitement and joy on everyone’s faces as they wait for their friends to promise each other forever…

Oh, Miles–way to make an entrance! One of my favorite groom-entering-and-totally-excited-to-be-getting-married photos ever.

Just moments before Merissa’s entrance.

Miles is always so expressive. He leaned out into the aisle straining to see Merissa and her dad as their entrance music began. The photo on the left was before he caught sight of her–the one on the right just a second after he laid eyes on her 🙂

All eyes on Merissa…

Breaking of the glass.

Mazel Tov!

They are just so sweet together–Miles is always kissing Merissa’s hand, and every single time, her face lights up like this:

Note: I cannot control groomsmen. Just sayin’.

Up next, their fabulous reception, including a full bridal party dance down the great stairs and more of that gorgeous teal and blue decor! 🙂
