Remember Kam + Dion from yesterday’s romantic coffee date engagement shoot? Well, we changed it up completely and did the second half of their shoot all along our hike through the woods that same afternoon. And it was a blast.

So adventurous. How do you feel about climbing on those rocks in the middle of the creek? Okay, good.

The first voicemail that I got from Kam left me smiling so much that my face hurt. I knew within seconds of hearing her voice that I would love her. And I do. She is spicy and full of life, and if you watch Dion while she’s doing her thing, you will see how much he loves everything about her–it is written all over his face.

Kam + Dion wanted to shoot at Cafe Intermezzo, so we decided to do a two part shoot. For part one, we grabbed coffee early one Sunday morning (don’t worry, we had breakfast, too ) before the brunch crowds started…

You will always be cracking up with these two. Trust me.

Then, out of nowhere, they bring it with the fierce.

Aaaaand, they are back to laughing!

Josh and I met up one cold March mid-morning in midtown for his new headshots, but we managed to get a lot more than just one headshot. We went for several different “characters,” if you will, as well as some more model-style shots to supplement his portfolio.

Seriously, do it. Brock and I saw Macbeth recently at Shakespeare Tavern and were BLOWN AWAY by the stellar acting and overall experience.

I so loved seeing Kelly + DJ’s wonderful pink, orange, and green Lake wedding in Alabama featured on Smitten’s wedding blog!

Their wedding had such bright, bold colors and awesome Southern details, it totally deserved to be highlighted!

In January, my best friend here in Atlanta celebrated her golden birthday. Now, Kelly and I go out and shoot with one another quite frequently, but this shoot is special because we shot ON her birthday. Right after eating at Com, one of our favorite restaurants! The sun was shining (and refelecting quite nicely) and while the weather was definitely on the cold side, the sun warmed us right up.

Remember Monique + TJ from their rainy day Alabama engagement session?

Brock and I were psyched to head back “home” to Alabama for Monique + TJ’s wedding. Not only does this girl love bright colors and have one of the funnest personalities EVER, but they were also getting married at Jasmine Hill, where we have captured many weddings and feel very comfortable. To top it off, Monique + TJ are one of those couples that are so incredibly in love that is practically oozes out of every moment. In the best possible way, of course.

Every year, the Atlanta Botanical Garden hosts a special Valentine’s Day event. As Janice (one of the wonderful Garden girls) put it, this event is their labor of love. So many vendors devote themselves to turn the Garden from an already pretty darn magical place to a Harry-Potter-level magical world of wonder.

These two photos were taken moments apart; that’s right–the whole facade of the building CHANGED COLORS!

The Wilton Consort–these ladies totally look like they just belong in a garden playing music, don’t they?

I heard there was a hot chocolate bar in this direction. The path leading to the hot chocolate was lined with lights and featured the perfect cityscape backdrop. Coincidence that all of this lovliness led to chocolate? I think not.

Bold American was responsible for this fabulous hot chocolate station.

REAL hot chocolate y’all, not the powdered stuff. This pot of YUM was watched over by two chefs.

Hot chocolate laced with liqueur on a chilly winter’s night=Best idea ever.

Low Country Barbecue supplied both warm Peach cobbler AND warm Apple cobbler in the Orchid Center.

Legendary Events transformed what is normally a simple classroom into a surreal Valentine’s lounge, complete with plush white rug, sweetheart cafe tables, candy lips, and sweets of bright colors and intense sugar content.
